About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University, where I trained in both adult and child psychotherapy as well as psychological assessment. I have experience working with a diverse group of individuals with respect to gender, race, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Before opening my private practice, I provided psychotherapy and testing services for children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including university-based clinics, outpatient community mental health centers, and private schools. I have worked as part of the treatment team at a therapeutic nursery school that was designed to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play and relating to others.

I take an active, collaborative, empathic approach to working with individuals. My primary approach is psychodynamic which allows me to thoroughly understand the development, emotional, and social factors that may be affecting someone’s current struggles.  However, my approach to each client is unique and tailored to their individual needs.  I have comprehensive training in a variety of psychotherapy approaches and techniques and I work with each individual to incorporate what is most effective for them.
